The Town of Ashland City is now accepting sealed bids for

www.ashlandcitytn.gov and clicking “Bids and RFPs” under
the Resources tab. Sealed bids will be accepted until 9:30 am,

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The scope includes but is not limited to a One-Story Pre-Engineered
metal building approximately 13,150 sq. ft. with metal roof and
walls. Site work to include bus parking, testing pad, parking, and
drives. Interior spaces include a 3 bus maintenance bays with
grease pit and exhaust system, storage mezzanine, office suite,
and professional development room. Interior finishes include ACT,
sealed concrete floors, epoxy floors, painted gyp. bd. A forced air
system is included with an option for a ground mounted solar farm.
METHODS OF BIDDING THESE PROJECTS:
Bids are hereby being solicited as A single lump sum contract per
trades. It is the intent of the Owner to award a single contract to
the lowest, best, responsive, responsible Bidder provided the Bid
has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the
Bidding Documents, is judged to be reasonable, and does not
exceed the funds available.
EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS:
Contract Documents may be examined on and after September It
2020 at the following offices:
RG Anderson & Co. or through the Dodge Plan room
Eligible Contractors may purchase full sets of Contract Documents
beginning September 01, 2020, at Lellyett & Rogers Co., 1717
Lebanon Rd., Nashville, TN. Purchase cost is non-refundable.
INTERPRETATIONS AND ADDENDA
Questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents shall
be directed to the Architect, in writing, via email. Responses to
request for information or interpretations will be made in the event
that clarifications or alterations to the submitted requests are
deemed by the Architect or the Owner. Requests for clarifications
or information will not be accepted within seven working days of
the bid date. Only answers issued by formal written Addenda will
be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be
without legal effect.
LAST DATE FOR QUESTIONS
Questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents shall
be directed to the Architect, in writing, via email. The last date for
questions is September 17th, 2020.
The Owner reserves the right to verify compliance of selected
subcontractors and accept or refuse the services of the Identified
subcontractors to be used.
TENNESSEE CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE LAW:
Bidding shall be in accordance with the Tennessee General
Contractor’s License Law. Bidders on construction in the amount
of $25,000.00 or more must be a licensed Contractor as required
by the Contractor’s Licensing Act of 1976, Public Chapter No. 822
of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, amended by
Public Chapter 406, Public Acts 1977, and further amended by
House Bill No. 2507 and approved May 10, 1994 including the most
current amendments.
AFFIDAVITS:
The “Criminal Background Compliance” Affidavit and the “Drug-
Free Workplace” Affidavit are required to be completed and
enclosed within the id Envelope. See pages following the Bid Form
for these affidavits.
