Ronnie Wayne Meadows, 70, of Portland, passed Friday, January 3,2020 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.
He was born July 5, 1949 to the late Herman Lynn Meadows and Ruby Ethyl Jones.
He is survived by wife of 50 years, Kathy Meadows of Portland; son, Michael Meadows (Kim) of Portland; daughters, Tanya Wright (Tim) of Cottontown and Amanda Rippy (Jason) of Bethpage; grandchildren, Alex Meadows, Max Meadows, Sarah Wright, Maddie Rippy, Cooper Meadows, and Abby Rippy; brothers, Darrell Meadows and Carl Meadows; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Mr. Meadows was preceded by brothers, Vernon Meadows and Donnie Meadows, sisters, Eva Long, Mary Poole, Helen Holt, Lolita Ladd and Joyce Cole.
Funeral Service will be Monday, January 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Matt Miller officiating, visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 until funeral service at 11 a.m.
Following the service interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
There will be a Masonic Service for Mr. Meadows on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 7 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Alex Meadows, Max Meadows, Steve Allen Bruce, Steve Marshal Bruce, Jerry Blair, Gary Meadows, Michael Meadows and Jason Rippy. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Johnson, Bobby Link, Bobby Reynolds, Raymond"Fuzzy" Knight, and Lloyd Knight.
Mr. Meadows was a member of McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of Portland Masonic Lodge, he served two terms on the Portland City Council , was the owner of Union 76 Station, and was a Wise Coach Driver for 8 years.
