Danny Carlton Vanatta, age 61 of Portland, passed away August 11, 2019 at Westmoreland Care and Rehab. He was born in Portland on February 9, 1958 to Barbara Jane Gentry Vanatta and the late Bobby Dean Vanatta. Danny was the owner of the former Rebel Rouser.
In addition to his father, Bobby Dean Vanatta, he is preceded in death by brothers, Randy Dewayne Vanatta and Lanny Dean Vanatta; grandparents, Levert and Bessie Vanatta, and Thomas and Susie Gentry.
Danny is survived by his mother, Barbara Jane Gentry Vanatta; children, Selena Vanatta, Daniel (Laura) Vanatta, Theresa Vanatta, and Jennifer Key; sister, Shelia Vanatta (Steve) Hester, all of Portland; grandchildren, Wyatt Walter, Drake Vanatta, Brooklyn Vanatta, Lillian Vanatta, Hope Stanton, Blayke Donmyer, Kirsti Key, Leela Lee, Ben (Ashley) Briley, and Abbey Briley.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. David Spears officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, August 12, 2019 form 5:30 p.m. till 9 p.m., on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 10 a.m. till 9 p.m., and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. till funeral time at 4 p.m.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Daniel Vanatta, Drake Vanatta, Wyatt Walter, Selena Vanatta, Theresa Donmeyer, and Jennifer Key. Honorary pallbearers are John Johns, Jeff Johns, Tommy Johns, Terry Johns, and Jimmy Johns.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made directly to Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home to offset expenses.
