Donald Trump Jr. will visit Gallatin to attend a fundraiser for U.S. Senate candidate Bill Hagerty later this month.

President Donald Trump’s oldest son is billed as a special guest for the luncheon on Jan. 28 along with former Fox News television personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, according to an invitation for the event obtained by the Gallatin News. The cost is $1,000 per person to attend and $2,800 per person to also go to a host photo reception.

The specific location of the fundraiser is not mentioned on the invitation.

In September, Hagerty officially launched his bid for Congress to fill the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tennessee).

The Gallatin native previously served as the commissioner of economic development for Tennessee from 2011 until 2015. He was also a senior leader on President Trump’s transition team before being sworn in as the 42nd U.S. ambassador to Japan in July 2017.

Hagerty’s top opponent in the Republican primary later this year is Nashville orthopedic trauma surgeon Manny Sethi. James Mackler, a former prosecutor, defense attorney and U.S. Army veteran, is running as a Democrat.

Tennessee state and federal primary elections will take place Aug. 6. State and federal general elections will be held on Nov. 3.
