The White House Utility District has a new agreement in place with the City of Portland to provide an additional water source for the city for the next three years.

The Portland City Council completed an agreement with the White House Utility District on a three-year deal to purchase water with a second reading passage at the Nov. 7 meeting of the board of mayor and aldermen.

Portland’s purchase of the water comes at a wholesale price, according to the ordinance, which was passed unanimously on first reading at the council’s Oct. 17 meeting.
