A Westmoreland man was arrested in Portland on Nov. 4 for attempting to install a video camera in the women’s bathroom at a Milo’s Coffee House back in the summer.

Gennaro Dominguez, 42, of 324 Siloam Church Road, Westmoreland, installed a “cop cam” miniature camera that staff at Milo’s Coffee House found in the women’s bathroom back on July 14.

Police were called to the scene at that time and were able to play video footage from the camera that showed a male attaching the camera to an area in the bathroom that had a view of the toilet. The camera apparently came loose and fell into the sink area, where it was found by staff.

As police inspected the camera, they saw Dominguez on the video as well as a keychain that was in his possession. According to the police report, the camera had fallen soon enough after installation that no videos of anyone in the toilet area were made.

On Nov. 4, workers at Milo’s contacted police to let them know that Dominguez was inside the restaurant. Police arrived and asked to speak to Dominguez. They also found that the keychain that was in the video was in his possession.

Dominguez admitted that he installed the camera inside the bathroom with the intent to video teenage girls and older on the camera.

Dominguez was arrested and charged with attempting to commit especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked into the Sumner County Jail, and bond was set at $75,000. Dominguez is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court on Dec. 14 to face the charge.
