On Oct. 26, North Sumner Elementary celebrated its 60th birthday in conjunction with the annual Fall Festival.

Several hundred people turned out for a busy day of games, good food and fun, along with meeting old friends and making new ones.  The History room, set up by Sherry Harris (alumna) and Ann Meador (NSE Librarian) was well attended by former and present students and faculty.

A "Sit and Chat" room was arranged for former classmates to meet and greet and catch-up. County Commissioners Terry Wright and Moe Taylor presented Mr. Herndon, NSE principal, a Proclamation from the county for NSE's birthday and the excellent work NSE is doing with the students of the Oak Grove area.
