9/23/21 Jackbox Games in the Community Room. Please bring your smartphone to play the game. Some electronic devices available to borrow during the program.

9/30/21 Card Games. Hang outside with your friends as we play card games such as Cheat, Exploding Kittens, and Superfight.

Drinks will be provided. Bring a blanket and sunscreen if desired.

ADULTS:

Bingo Tuesday, September 21 and 28 at 1:00 in the Community Room

A free, fun event for adults! We play several rounds of Bingo for candy and snacks. The cover-all is at the end of the games and a gift card is given! Please join us.

Genealogy Club – Meets on the 1st Saturday of the month at 10:00. Paula Shannon leads this club. Please join us if you are interested in family history and tracing your family tree. There will not be a meeting in September but we will resume October 2nd.

Make & Take Crafts for Adults – September 21, 2:30 to 4:00 in the Community Room

Do you enjoy crafting? We will supply the materials that you will need and our circulation supervisor Anita Lamberth will instruct you on how to make the craft. You will finish your project and take home with you that day! Please sign up by calling the library or visit the circulation desk, as seating is limited.

“Taking Charge of Your Diabetes” Kate McCullough from the UT Extension office will present this program to anyone with type 2 diabetes or providing care for someone with diabetes. There will be two 90-minute classes focusing on the 4 pillars of healthy living with diabetes – nutrition, physical activity, stress and sleep. Registration is required through Portland Public Library at 615-325-2279. Dates and times: Wednesday, September 22nd and Thursday, September 30th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
