Cheatham County Central Class of 1973 is planning its 50th reunion for 2023 and is searching for classmates. Contact Keith Collier, (714) 396-4054 or mkco11ier@yahoo.com for more information.

Friday Night Community Dance at the Center, 104 Ruth Drive, Ashland City. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dance begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $7 per person. Everyone is encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share. Band lineup for February: Feb. 17 — Kevin Dobson & Along for the Ride; Feb. 24 — Rode West.

Cheatham County Central annual spring fundraiser will be held Saturday, April 29 and features a steak dinner, silent auction and live entertainment. The dinner and auction will begin at 5 p.m. with the entertainment starting at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. The funds raised will directly benefit CCCHS students. Tickets are $30 for a single and $50 for a couple.

Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition meets the fourth Monday of each month from 6-7 p.m. at the David McCullough Community Room, Sycamore Square, 334 Frey Street Ashland City. Meetings are not held in May and December. A free meal is served. Presentations are given and attendees are encouraged to participate in planning of strategies and activities to enhance the overall wellness of the County. Anyone is welcome to attend. Ashland City Civitans will meet Jan. 24 at noon at Ashland City Church of Christ, 110 Cumberland Street. Ashland City Civitan is a service organization that works within our community to provide a better quality of life for our citizens. New members are always welcome.

Child Evangelism Fellowship Greater Clarksville Chapter has short-term mission trip opportunities available. Join a Good News [Bible] Club team and help teach children about Jesus in their schools and beyond. One afternoon a week commitment until the end of April. No experience is necessary. Kingston Springs Al-Anon meets every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Comfort Zone, 335 Oak Street, Kingston Springs, behind Kingston Springs United Methodist Church. All who are affected by alcoholism in relatives or friends are welcome.

Kingston Jams for acoustic players is held the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 6-8 p.m. at South Cheatham Library, 358 N. Main St. in Kingston Springs. This is a free event for anyone who wants to play cover songs from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

St. Martha’s Catholic Church Free Clothing Giveaway will be held the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-noon at the church located at 3331 Bell St. in Ashland City. Clothing and shoes for men, women and children will be available.

Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City. Presentations are given during the April, July and October meetings. Anyone interested in the history of the area is welcome to attend.
