The annual Hendersonville Christmas 4 Kids event concluded Dec. 18 with a dinner and entertainment event at the Gallatin Civic Center, followed up by a shopping spree at the Walmart Super Center in Hendersonville.
Over 400 children and their chaperones attended the event, which was coordinated by the Christmas 4 Kids organization.
Over 90 drivers donated their time and their tour busses to provide transportation for the children and volunteers.
During the event, each child received a $150 allowance that they could spend however they wished. In addition, each child also received a free winter coat. Several children were also the benefactors of a “Secret Santa” who purchased bicycles for them, allowing them to further stretch the value of their allowances.
